Affiliate Disclosure
This site is free to read because of affiliate commissions. Here is exactly how that works, what it costs you, and what it does and does not change about what you read. The tours themselves are compared on the Sicily tours page.
The short version
We may earn a commission if you book through one of our links, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay by going to the booking platform directly.
We are not a tour operator or a travel agency. We do not sell tours, take payments or act as an agent for any operator or platform.
Which links pay, and who pays them
Tour links on this site go to two booking platforms, GetYourGuide and Viator, where the tours are sold by independent Sicilian operators. If a reading session ends in a booking, the platform pays us a commission from its own share. The operator runs the tour, the platform takes the payment, and neither of them reports back to us about your booking beyond the commission total.
Some links on the guides point to official sources, such as a park authority or a cathedral's own page. Those are citations, not affiliate links, and they earn nothing.
What a commission does not buy
The catalog's verdict is picked on stated, measurable grounds and printed with its reasoning. Where a listing has a sharp edge, an entry ticket paid on site, a market that closes in the early afternoon, a grotto entry that depends on the sea state, that edge is printed on the same page as the link. Commission never decides which tour carries the badge, and tours are not ranked by payout.
Prices and bookings stay with the platforms
Prices on this site are read from the platforms' listings and re-checked quarterly. They move with the season and with demand, so the number you see at checkout on the platform is the number that counts. All bookings, payments, changes and customer service belong to the platform you land on, under its own terms.
